Below is a letter from Paul Reeves who is a representative of Kol-Mashiach, a local cult type congregation that the three of us mentioned (Max, Mordechai, and Suzy) had regrettably called home. The letter was written to us after we had mailed out Rosh Hashanah cards to all of our brothers and sisters who are as their leaders says, "Card Carrying Members!" (of their cult).
Within the card was a 3x5 inch index card with print on both sides. On one side was some Scripture explaining when the Biblical new year starts and why Rabbinical Jews celebrate it six months off. The other side of the card simply stated that we were all kicked out and why we were kicked out. This was done because nobody knew what had happened to us and why, nobody knew the truth of the matter.
The reason nobody knew what had happended to us is that things were not handled according to Scripture. The Scripture says that if any man (or woman) has a grievance with another brother or sister, then he (or she) should bring two (un-biased) witnesses with him (or her) and confront the matter person to person with the witnesses present. If the matter is still not resolved then it should be brought before the elders. This matter was not handled according to Scripture, we were accused, tried and convicted then kicked out in secret without question.
Here is the letter in its entirety...I will break it down and post my response to each accusation below the letter.
Dear Max, Suzy & Mordechai
We received your card. My wife & I both are sorry that you feel the way that you do. We are both extremely concerned about the little insert with your card.
We know why each of you were asked not to return to our congregation. It is no secret to any of us, as your card would lead some to believe. Those of us in the congregation who had been approached by you or received your tapes or other correspondence, were very concerned and shared that concern with Rabbi Levine.
Mordechai was asked repeatedly not to talk about "Michael Rude" and his beliefs.
You and Suzy both have been sending cards and tapes to members of our congregation. Tapes that are teaching false doctrine and from a man that is a false prophet.
The way that you present yourself is false. The statements you make are false and your ways are deceptive in speaking about Cult-Mashiach.
Each of you were talked with and you had the opportunity to express your opinion. We expressed our beliefs and explained why we believe what is taught at Cult-Mashiach.
Mordechai, you were asked not to come back, after you were repeatedly told not to "preach false doctrine".
Max & Suzy, the card and tape, have spoken for both of you.
Personally, I don't appreciate you coming into our family and trying to lead some of us off with your deceptions.
Also you asked on your card "where is the love?" I want to ask you the same. We welcomed each of you to fellowship with us. We bring you into our family and homes. We offered help to you when needed. Then you try to deceive our members and visitors, you slur our Rabbi, and speak lies about us.
The Ruach is faithful to alert us to false teachings. So, we are not so easily deceived.
Do not send your lies, and garbage to our home again.
Wow! I don't know where to start, I am totally stunned! I can't tell if this guy really believes everything he wrote or if its some kind of joke. Reading this letter made us all sick to the stomach as we realized the depth of deception in that place. I encourage everyone to pray for these people, pray for the truth to be revealed. Below I will respond to each accusation.
PAUL REEVES - Dear Max, Suzy & Mordechai
MAX MITCHELL - OK, no lies in this section.
PAUL REEVES - We received your card. My wife & I both are sorry that you feel the way that you do. We are both extremely concerned about the little insert with your card.
MAX MITCHELL - The reason that you are concerned is because your false doctrine has been exposed! Now many more people know that Rosh Hashanah starts in the spring (Shemoth/Exodus 12:2) and that the day you celebrate in the fall is Yom Teruah. I would also be concerned as you say it if I were exposed in such an evident deception.
PAUL REEVES - We know why each of you were asked not to return to our congregation. It is no secret to any of us, as your card would lead some to believe. Those of us in the congregation who had been approached by you or received your tapes or other correspondence, were very concerned and shared that concern with Rabbi Levine.
MAX MITCHELL - I bet they were, I would also be very concerned if I had been taught lies and then brought to the truth... This must be why they also shared that concern with me, sent thankyou cards for the Michael Rood tapes and Rosh Hashanah cards, appologized to us when we were kicked out, and some leaving the congregation because of what you had done.
PAUL REEVES - Mordechai was asked repeatedly not to talk about "Michael Rude" and his beliefs.
MAX MITCHELL - Why? Sounds like a cult to me... Why not dig deeper into Scripture, Discuss the matter, Pray on the matter, and see where the Ruach leads you? Instead you shut everyone up, spread rumors about those who have studied and induce fear upon those who do not know any better. That my brother is the behavior of a cult. Because of your traditions you shut us up (Mattithyahu/Matthew 23:13).
PAUL REEVES - You and Suzy both have been sending cards and tapes to members of our congregation. Tapes that are teaching false doctrine and from a man that is a false prophet.
MAX MITCHELL - We shared what we though was a great video with a few of our brothers and sisters on our own time and away from the congregation, so I ask what business of it is yours or anybody else? You also bear false witness against your brother but I am sure Michael Rood will forgive you. False doctrine...he teaches Torah and that may be foreign to you, since you keep Talmud I see how it would offend you. False prophet...no, but he says that he used to be one by teaching the rapture. He publicly says this and has repented from teaching the rapture and has asked for forgiveness. So where is your forgiveness?

MAX MITCHELL - I hear a lot of accusations from you and there is not a one of us who does not know who the accuser is. Your accusations are vague to say the least, you will have to do better than that (Luke 20:20).
PAUL REEVES - Each of you were talked with and you had the opportunity to express your opinion. We expressed our beliefs and explained why we believe what is taught at Cult-Mashiach.
MAX MITCHELL - This is an outright lie, you have been exposed for the liar that you are and have shed light on the place you represent with your lies. We were not talked with nor were we given an opportunity to express our opinion (Torah). We know why you believe what is taught at Kol-Mashiach, it's all in the Talmud except the pagan doctrines dragged in from the Christian church that had originated in pagan sun-worship.
PAUL REEVES - Mordechai, you were asked not to come back, after you were repeatedly told not to "preach false doctrine".
MAX MITCHELL - Another Lie, Mordechai was kicked our for something he did not do. The reason given to him for being kicked out during praise and worship was for mailing the tapes and letters which I had done, not him, I even printed and signed my name. Mordechai had stopped sharing Torah when he was asked not to do so. Mordechai was kicked out during the healing portion of praise and worship. It sounds like an angry man and a sad situation when it is more important for your leader to kick someone out during healing service than to continue to heal his flock. It is evident that the spirit in your service is not HaRuach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit) but one of hatred and fear.
PAUL REEVES - Max & Suzy, the card and tape, have spoken for both of you.
MAX MITCHELL - Praise Yahweh the Most High, but do not forget our fruit, our fruit also speaks for us. Likewise your fruit speaks for you, your anger and fear speaks for you when you kick people out during praise and worship and those nasty rumors from Kol-Mashiach have polluted your congregation.
PAUL REEVES - Personally, I don't appreciate you coming into our family and trying to lead some of us off with your deceptions.
MAX MITCHELL - Personally, We don't like black sheep (You) in the family calling Torah a deception while leading our brothers and sisters astray with your man-made doctrine (Talmud). I am sure that Messiah feels the same way (Mattithyahu/Matthew 15:1-3, Mark 7:5-9).
PAUL REEVES - Also you asked on your card "where is the love?" I want to ask you the same. We welcomed each of you to fellowship with us. We bring you into our family and homes. We offered help to you when needed. Then you try to deceive our members and visitors, you slur our Rabbi, and speak lies about us.
MAX MITCHELL - This is yet another lie. You did not offer help when I needed it, in fact when I came to the congregation to borrow back a small portion of my tithe for two weeks so I could cremate my mother, I was told it was against your policy to loan money (even though I gave it to you). It is unfortunate that my mother had also called that place her spiritual home. I have no reason to lie and the truth will be revealed in due time, including all of the lies you have spoken of us. Yes, I know of the lies you have spoken of us.
MAX MITCHELL - The only people that helped us were people that obviously do not belong there in the first place. You should remember Tom, he was kicked off the Beama as the head Torah attendant when you made new rules requiring Torah attendants to where ties. Let me assure you of this; The Messiah never wore a tie and never will and essentially you have kicked The Messiah out as well. Tom Oglesby and his wife Carol helped me by printing memorial cards for me when my mother passed away and helped Mordechai by providing a place for him to stay. Thank you Tom & Carol.
PAUL REEVES - The Ruach is faithful to alert us to false teachings. So, we are not so easily deceived.
MAX MITCHELL - Except the fruits of your behavior makes it clear that it is not HaRuach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit) in your congregation but one of anger and fear. That spirit manifested itself when their was a threat to the false teachings of the Talmud being exposed for what they were so people may keep Torah.
PAUL REEVES - Do not send your lies, and garbage to our home again.
MAX MITCHELL - I am sorry that you feel that wishes for a happy new year and the Scripture that I had sent you, you refer to as "lies" and "garbage" I think that your anger and fear is evident for all to see.
After responding to all of the accusations I am not sure if this man who is a representative of Kol-Mashiach is making up the lies all on his own or if he is just a pawn for his leader who may have put him up to writing this. I am assuming that he is a good man and that he is not making up the lies but he is grossly misinformed and has simply been put up to writing us a letter. This however does not change the fact that he is spewing lies out of his mouth about the body of Messiah and that he will be accountable for his speech.
The fact that this man and also another man had both written us shows that we inflicted heavy damage to the enemy HaSatan (The Adversary). This was also made clear when after being kicked out several members came by and apologized for what had happened to us, some of whom have since left their cult.
If anyone reading this letter attends this congregation, please tell Paul Reeves (the author of the letter) that he can read my response to his accusations online since he had asked that I do not to write to him.
